Billing & Plans

Avi's pricing has two parts: a flat fee per seat that covers the platform, and AI usage billed at cost — the same per-token rates Avi pays its cloud providers, with zero markup. Every AI call — chatting, running a tool that calls a model, a background agent run — costs a small amount in credits. Your account carries the credit balance.

Free

  • $10 in signup credits when you create an account. These never expire.
  • $50 more when you connect your first integration — see below.
  • No card required. Use Avi for as long as your credits last.
  • Single user only — you can't invite teammates on Free.

The first-integration offer

Avi is at its best when it can see your email and calendar — that's when morning briefings, meeting prep, and "what needs a reply?" start working. So the first time your account connects Google (or Microsoft, when available), Avi adds $50 in free credits to your account. Once per account, and the credits never expire. You stay in control: the connect screen lets you choose exactly which permissions to grant, and you can disconnect anytime in Project Settings → Integrations.

Pro — $29/month per seat

  • Invite as many teammates as you want. Each person you add = one seat.
  • $15 in included AI credits per seat every billing cycle, pooled across every org under your account. A 5-seat team gets $75/cycle that anyone can spend.
  • Flat pricing — $29 per seat, per month. No prorating, no partial-month math. Adding a seat mid-cycle takes effect immediately; you're billed for the full seat at your next renewal.
  • AI usage beyond your included credits is billed at cost — Avi never marks up tokens.
  • Auto-refill (optional): when your available credits drop to $2 or less, Avi charges $25 and tops you up. Capped at $200/month so surprises are bounded. Top-ups never expire.
  • Cancel or update your card any time in the Stripe Customer Portal.
  • Subscribed before the current pricing took effect? Your account stays on the rate you signed up at — the Billing page always shows the per-seat price you actually pay.

How the numbers work

Three things are tracked. You see all three on the Billing page.

  • Monthly Credits Used — how much you've actually spent this cycle. Measured directly from AI usage, so it only moves when someone runs a billable action.
  • Monthly limit — seats × $15 in included credits for Pro, $0 for Free. (The $15 is the included-credit allowance, not the seat price.) If you add a seat mid-cycle, the limit grows right away (you don't have to wait for renewal).
  • Additional Credits Balance — your persistent pool: signup credits, the first-integration offer, auto-refill top-ups, and any promo grants. Never expires, carries across cycles. Drawn from only when you go over the monthly limit.

At cycle end, the monthly limit resets for the next cycle. Unused monthly credits don't roll over (they're part of your subscription, not a balance you own). Top-ups always carry over.

Where to manage it

  • User Settings → Billing — see your plan, usage, daily breakdown, upgrade from Free, toggle auto-refill.
  • Manage Billing button — opens the Stripe Customer Portal. From there you can update your card, view past invoices, or cancel.
  • Org Settings → Analytics — per-org usage if you want to understand spend by project or model.

Inviting teammates

Inviting someone requires Pro. The flow:

  • If you're on Free, the invite attempt shows an "Upgrade to Pro" prompt. Accept and you're on $29/mo for your one seat; future invites add seats automatically.
  • If you're on Pro, the invite sends immediately. The new seat activates on accept — no mid-cycle charge. At your next renewal, your invoice reflects the new seat count at your per-seat rate.

Removing a member drops your seat count at the next renewal (no mid-cycle refund).

Who can change billing

Billing is account-scoped — the account owner is the only one who can change the plan or update the card. Exactly one owner per account.
